What is the best route to becoming a registered nurse?

I have been considering working as an ER nurse, is there things I can do to better prepare my self for this? I am already a working EMT.

Would not being able to look at needles being put in be a huge problem?

I get very anxious when I see a needle go into the skin and it makes me kinda sick and with this field I don’t know if it would be a big problem.
