What should I keep in mind while writing my personal statement?

I've got a pretty impressive story and how did i managed to study the way i did and got 91% but i dont know how to write about myself without sounding too emotional or sympathetic and the creative writing part cuz my major was computer science i am not a good writer.. Please help me get through this and write an impressive personal statement. Because i really cant afford anything like consultants and helpers. My only dream is to study at a prestigious university on a scholarship and to study is my only passion. But my financial situation is not letting me reach my goal. And i really dont know what to do!
