What does the career growth for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech look like?
I am curious to know what the career pathway looks like for a Sonographer especially those who got their AAS in Sonography before getting a bachelor's. Was it hard to find jobs in your field? Would you say that the pay did not meet the workload expectations? Are there any advantages to getting a bachelor's like pay increase or job roles opening up? What made you choose sonography? What should I consider becoming an ultrasound tech?
I’m in middle school, and I’ve been thinking about wanting to become an ultrasound tech. I’ve wanted to become one because I can help parents see the life’s of their babies come together. In my personal life, I have always been the person my friends and family turn to during a crisis. So transitioning into a role where I can provide professional comfort to patients feels like a natural extension of who I am. How many scans do you typically perform in an 8-hour shift?
