Im about to graduate with a bachelors in health science and I know my end goal is to work in ob-gyn sonography. I'm just not sure what route I want to take to become an RDMS. I want to take a faster method if my bachelors can count towards it, but I also want to take the route that will have better career advancement opportunities.

I don't have shadowing hours or volunteers hours, and I still need to take the TEAS test. It's overwhelming to know how to start everything.

How competitive is the application process for an ultrasound technician, and what could make me stand out when applying How many scans does a typical tech make in a day? #Spring25 ?

Im a sophomore at Western Texas College and I plan to transfer to Weatherford College next semester, my original degree plan was applied science in agriculture because I wanted to go into the animal industry however I've though long and hard about switching my majors and have decided that getting my degree in applied science of diagnostic medical sonography would fit me better. However I still think about and wonder if their are positions in the animal industry for ultrasound techs?

What do I need to do after I get my Bachelors of Science in Biology to become an Ultrasound Technician?

I could really use some help figuring this out. I currently have my Associates in Science in Allied Health and I am planning to attend Simpson University on a golf scholarship. I was given the options of attaining my BS in Biology or an Associates in Health Science and was told either of these options would help me on my path to Sonography/ Ultrasound. I have a feeling the Bachelors of science is the better option and it is what I am enrolled in right now. Which option is better? What should I do after I obtain one of the two? Please help!

Which approach can I take to become a stronger candidate for the Sonography program that I wish to attend? I have heard medical experience is beneficial, but I am not sure how to pursue those opportunities. Are there alternatives to compensate for the lack of medical experience?

I am currently a sophomore at the University of Texas at San Antonio, pursuing a major in kinesiology with a GPA of 3.69. This semester I am enrolled in courses, such as Anatomy & Physiology, Physics, and Psychology, which align with some of the courses needed for the program. I have not yet acquired medical experience or certifications.

What is it like being a clinical research sonograhper?

Hey guys! I am heavily considering becoming a clinical research sonographer. I graduate from ultrasound school in 2 weeks (whoop whoop) but I've met quite a few sonographers who've told me I'd probably be interested in clinical research. I'm very inquisitive, and I love the idea of forging a new path for ultrasound technology. If anyone has experience in this field, I'd love it if you shed some light on your path. Did you get a Bachelors degree in clinical research? Does it pay significantly more than working in a hospital? Are the hours consistent? Thank you so much! #Spring25 #Ultrasound #ClinicalResearch

Hi, I'm Kaelyn, an upcoming sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasound with a vascular specialization at Mount Aloysius College. My favorite classes so far are physics and medical terminology. My clinicals are coming up next summer, and this question comes to mind while I prepare. I'd love to hear about any current sonographers/ultrasound techs' experience in the field. Let me know your pros and cons and whatever will help me with my future career!
