What are the first steps to getting my sonography certification?

I am a senior in high school looking to go into sonography as an ultra sound tech, but not sure where to start. Do I need a bachelor's or nursing degree prior to finding a program for becoming certified? If not, what kind of programs or schools do I look into for a sonography certificate?

What does the career growth for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech look like?

I am curious to know what the career pathway looks like for a Sonographer especially those who got their AAS in Sonography before getting a bachelor's. Was it hard to find jobs in your field? Would you say that the pay did not meet the workload expectations? Are there any advantages to getting a bachelor's like pay increase or job roles opening up? What made you choose sonography? Thank you in advance to those who took the time to read and answer my questions! I really appreciate it as I explore different career options.

How can I decide if Nursing is for me?

Hi! I am a college student who is currently trying to decide what health science field I want to focus on. I have been in community college for 3 years constantly changing my mind about what I was doing with my life. And I have started to settle on the idea of Health Science. I am leaning towards Sonography because of the programs in my area. But Nursing has also peeked my interest. I have heard that Nursing is hard however I feel like it would be more "rewarding" especially pediatric Nursing. Before I decide a concrete path, I would love to get some advice, insight thoughts or even self-reflective questions that might help me think more about my choices.

Im about to graduate with a bachelors in health science and I know my end goal is to work in ob-gyn sonography. I'm just not sure what route I want to take to become an RDMS. I want to take a faster method if my bachelors can count towards it, but I also want to take the route that will have better career advancement opportunities.

I don't have shadowing hours or volunteers hours, and I still need to take the TEAS test. It's overwhelming to know how to start everything.

What do I need to do after I get my Bachelors of Science in Biology to become an Ultrasound Technician?

I could really use some help figuring this out. I currently have my Associates in Science in Allied Health and I am planning to attend Simpson University on a golf scholarship. I was given the options of attaining my BS in Biology or an Associates in Health Science and was told either of these options would help me on my path to Sonography/ Ultrasound. I have a feeling the Bachelors of science is the better option and it is what I am enrolled in right now. Which option is better? What should I do after I obtain one of the two? Please help!
