If i want to become get a degree in sonography at South Texas College will i need to take any classes before i actually am able to take Diagonstic Medical Sonography.?
I am planning to attend STC and i know you often have to take classes before for sonography but i was hoping someone could break down the steps for me!

You’ll usually start with:
• Anatomy & Physiology I and II 🫀
• Medical Terminology 📘
• Physics or College Algebra for the science of sound waves ⚡
• English Composition ✍️
• And possibly a Speech or Communication course to help you connect with patients clearly and compassionately. 💬

Hi! Take a look at this website, https://www.southtexascollege.edu/academics/sonography/, and scroll down to where it says "AAS prerequisites" or "ATC prerequisites". When you click on that tab, it'll tell you which classes you need to take.
Hi! I apperciate you answering my question, do you know if i would have to take the AAS prereqs or the ATC prereqs? im a bit confused on that but thank you!

Hi! So the AAS is an Associates degree of Applied Science. ATC is an Advanced Technical Certificate. Depending on if you want the associate's or the certificate you'd take the prereqs for the respective one.
