How competitive is the application process for an ultrasound technician, and what could make me stand out when applying How many scans does a typical tech make in a day? #Spring25 ?
Im a sophomore at Western Texas College and I plan to transfer to Weatherford College next semester, my original degree plan was applied science in agriculture because I wanted to go into the animal industry however I've though long and hard about switching my majors and have decided that getting my degree in applied science of diagnostic medical sonography would fit me better. However I still think about and wonder if their are positions in the animal industry for ultrasound techs?
I'm pursuing a career in ultrasound, but I'm undecided on which specialty to choose (like OB/GYN, cardiac, or vascular). What's the best way to figure out which ultrasound specialty is the right fit for me #Spring25?
I'm currently a college student pursuing a career in diagnostic medical sonography. I'm really interested in the heart and how it works, so cardiac ultrasound stands out to me. But I also think I’d enjoy working in OB/GYN and being part of such special moments in patients’ lives. What type of ultrasound technician makes the most money?
I heard that neurosonography brings in the most but then I learned that that isn't a formal job anymore because it became a subset to another role.
