Is the Coursera IBM Data Science Certificate actually valued by Indian employers, or is Intellipaat/IIT Roorkee the safer bet for placement?
I see a lot of praise for international certifications on this sub IBM Data Science Professional Certificate on Coursera, Google Data Analytics, etc. And sure, the content quality seems solid. But here's my concern: Indian recruiters, especially at mid-size companies, may not recognize these as much as they would an Intellipaat certificate or something co-branded with iHub IIT Roorkee. The IIT name carries real weight here in ways it might not internationally. So my question is specifically for people who've been through hiring in India: Does a Coursera certification help or hurt you compared to a domestic paid program? And is the IIT Roorkee branding on Intellipaat's course something that actually comes up in interviews, or is it just a selling point?
