Which degrees would you recommend for someone who's interested in Chemistry and the Beauty / Luxury Goods Industry (Cosmetics/Pharmaceuticals/Textiles...) ?
I'm applying for Chemical Engineering in uni - I’m choosing this path because I love chemistry and I want a degree that leads to a high earning career, specifically in the beauty and cosmetics industry (like L'Oréal, Estée Lauder, etc.). However, I've been told by current students that the math and physics are really hard, and I'm scared that I will drop out since I'm not the best at these subjects. Also, they claim that there isn't much chem in the degree anyway. I'm mainly choosing ChemE for the salary (as opposed to a regular chem degree), and for it being a 'general' engineering degree which allows for branching out into varying industries. I would like to work in a fun, sensory, and creative environment, collaborating with marketing and design teams, rather than sitting behind a computer doing stressful heavy simulation or structural modeling... Yet I feel like that's incompatible with the salaries I want. So which degree or studies would you recommend for me? Thanks!

How should I go about getting an internship during college? #fall25
I am going to be a freshman in college coming up and I am concerned about getting internship opportunities. I am going to school to be a chemical engineer, and I am unsure on how to go about internships. Is it better to reach out to companies myself or should I wait until companies get in contact with me?
What real world industries are hiring college graduates with Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degrees in today's economy?
I am a high school senior that has developed an interest in Chemistry. I would like honest opinions from professionals on what the job opportunities truly look like in this field, what industries are hiring graduates and what the day to day job duties entail.
As a future chemical engineering major who hopes to eventually build a global company in innovative consumer products or cosmetic chemistry, what skills, college courses, and early experiences should I prioritize to best prepare for both the technical side of engineering and the entrepreneurial/business side of launching a startup?
I'm currently a high school senior applying to study chemical engineering in university. My interest in this field grew out of ordinary moments: my mom worked in retail when I was little, so I grew up surrounded by shelves of beauty products, and in high school I started my own small nail business which made me curious about everything from formulations to polymerization processes. I have big dreams for my future. I dream of creating products people can trust and building a company that will one day be a global corporation. I'm committed to putting in the work, but I also know how valuable it is to learn from people who've already walked a similar path. Any advice on what skills (soft skills included), classes, other experiences, or anything else I should focus on would mean a lot to me!

How do I narrow down potential engineering fields?
Currently, I am stuck between chemical, mechanical, and aerospace engineering. All of these really interest me, but I cannot choose. Thank you!?
How would I go about my interviewing process to get a job in mechanical engineering, and how would that differ for aerospace engineering and chemical engineering?
I have known that i have wanted to be an engineer since second grade, but i have been undecided between aerospace, mechanical, and chemical.

Entering a different industry with Chemical Engineering
Hi, So I studied chemical engineering and have been working in a graduate position in the water industry. I now feel like I want to enter another industry, maybe pharmaceuticals or even anything else that interests me. Maybe this question sounds a bit silly but how does entering a different industry work? Do I apply for entry level posts? I hear of people moving completely from one field to another but I still feel confused on how that works and the type of jobs I could apply for. I will appreciate any input. (sorry that my question doesn't seem too clear) Thank you. #chemicalengineering
Is a chemical engineer degree good to go into pharmaceutical engineering?
I am thinking about going into making pharmaceutical, and I was wondering if chemical engineering would be the right degree to get. #chemicalengineering
