How do I know if Diagnostic Medical Sonography is a good college major for me?
I'm a 16 year old junior in high school, my goal is to be an ultrasound tech but I'm not sure if it's the right fit for me. I want to go into the medical field and being an ultrasound tech seems the most interesting to me. Are there things I can do to make sure this is what I want to have as my profession and to see if I would work well as one?
What do I need to do after I get my Bachelors of Science in Biology to become an Ultrasound Technician?
I could really use some help figuring this out. I currently have my Associates in Science in Allied Health and I am planning to attend Simpson University on a golf scholarship. I was given the options of attaining my BS in Biology or an Associates in Health Science and was told either of these options would help me on my path to Sonography/ Ultrasound. I have a feeling the Bachelors of science is the better option and it is what I am enrolled in right now. Which option is better? What should I do after I obtain one of the two? Please help!
