How did you start building your network?

As a student I served on every committee I could find that aligned with my interests. I made business cards and at every professional event I gave them out so no one would forget my name.

How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?

I've known my whole life I was going to be a social worker. After Afghanistan and realizing how much a social worker helped me adjust I started my career soon after.

When you were a student, did you do anything outside of school to build skills or get knowledge that has helped your career?

I did everything I could. I served on subcommittees and boards in order to pick others brains in the field. I was also the annoying person who asked too many questions to everyone I meant.
