When did you get your first Big Break? How did you get it? How did it go?

I was in my sophomore year doing my BS in Mechanical Engineering and I was looking for a summer internship. I found a program through my school that helped me find a job and International Harvester designing diesel engines. I started working that summer and loved the design and manufacturing process that go into building an engine.

How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?

I initially started as a Chemical Engineer, but when I took chemistry in college I decided that was not for me. A semester later I took Newtonian Physics and I fell in love with it and realized that Mechanical Engineering would be a good place where to apply and used physics.

What is the one piece of career advice you wish someone gave you when you were younger?

Invest in yourself. Be kind and patient with yourself.
