I am in 12th grade and currently getting my Medical Assisting certification. I'm on track to go to the University of Utah and begin my nursing pre-reqs. I'm planning on working as a Medical Assistant and would rather work as that a CNA. Am I going to need to get this certification anyway?

What happens if I don't get into nursing school?
Next year I will be going to Michigan State University for pre-nursing and I'll have to apply for the nursing school near the end of the school year, but I'm worried that I won't get in. What can I do to still become a nurse if I don't get in?
