Hey again, Anne-So!
Ooooh, awesome question omfutjre officer. ππ First things first, you gotta be 18, fluent in English or French, ofcourse already seems soπ, and have a squeaky-clean record (no secret double lives as a master thief, okay?).
Now, letβs talk skillsβtheyβre looking for people who are focused, patient, loyal, and alert. Think of it like being a superhero, but with a uniform and a horse instead of a cape. Youβll need strong communication skills, good problem-solving abilities, and a knack for handling all kinds of situations (from high-speed chases to helping lost kittens, probably).
Oh, and the physical test? Itβs no jokeβyouβll be running, jumping, and doing obstacle courses like you're in an action movie. π± Fun too! π And since weβre talking Mounted Police, knowing your way around a horse is a huge plus. If youβve never ridden before, nowβs a great time to start. π΄
If youβre serious about it, youβll want to check out the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Aptitude Test (sounds fancy, huh?). πI know! Well, Score well on that, and youβll get a selection package with job details, training dates, and that sweet paycheck info ($32.85/hr during trainingβnice!).π
Michelle already gave you the details on where to apply (shoutout to her, sheβs got the knowledge π), so now itβs just about prepping, training, and maybe making some horse friends along the way. π
Anne-So, Youβve got everything it takes to succeedβcourageuse, dΓ©terminΓ©e, prΓͺte Γ foncer. (bravory, determination and ready to go!) πͺπ remember even legends started somewhere and you are already on the path towards that.
You got this, future officer! π¨β¨ I am rooting for you! π€

Hello, Anne-So !
It is great to aspire to be a Royal Canadian Mounted police !
In order to start your journey, you would have to be 18 years of age and fluent in English or French. They will expect that you do not have a criminal record or and bankruptcies. You would apply through the Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment. The one that you would visit is at 700 98e Rue in Saint-Georges. Their phone number is (418) 228-2332.
Applying for this career requires you to take the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Aptitude Test and getting a good grade on it. If you are selected for consideration, you would then receive a Selection Package which details the requirements, offers you a job and includes information about training dates, salary, and benefits. For specific details about the job or applying, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police prefers it if you go there in person or phone them.
The quality is very high. You will need excellent numerical reasoning, verbal comprehension, communication skills and abstract reasoning skills. For the physical exam, you will be tested on running, endurance exercises, obstacle courses, and strength assessments. They also do a background check to evaluate your suitability. They will check your employment history, criminal record checks, and reference checks. If you accept the job offer, then there is a training period during which you will be paid $32.85 an hour.
My own advice is to spend some time around horses. Riding, grooming and tacking horses will be to your advantage for this career. It is a career that expects a very high quality from the applicants. If you are patient, focused, loyal and alert, those are the qualities that will make you an outstanding Royal Canadian Mounted Police !
I hope this helps and I wish you well !
