Denise A’s Answer

The school you attend will depend on scholarships, the interest of concentration, and the graduate rate. Many state universities offer excellent teaching programs and are less expensive. Each one, in New York State, for example, has a field they are very well known for such as music at SUNY Potsdam. Private colleges and universities are also good choices. For a more personalized course of study, I would look into smaller schools.

Denise A recommends the following next steps:

Research options
Visit top 5 choices
Narrow to 2 or 3 that fit you best not your best friend.
Apply for scholarships that are good at your choices. Meet deadlines!
Apply to the schools. Remember that you may not get your first choice, but you will still get a good education.
