How to manage a double major at Cal?

I'm a high school senior who was recently accepted to Berkeley. My goal is to graduate with two degrees in four years: a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences, and a B.S. (B.A. if possible) in Physics. Can anyone who has double majored at Berkeley give tips on managing coursework?

Atmospheric science is primarily based on physics and, to a lesser extent, chemistry. Hence, a strong physics background is necessary for the area.

Hence, it is feasible to pursue a double major in physics and atmospheric science. It should be appreciated that the course load would be challenging. The only advice I can give is to stay focused and work hard.

Make sure that you meet with advisors from both departments early on in order to create a feasible plan to take the required courses for each major. Some of the classes should overlap but it is important to verify this with advisors.
