What are the chances of getting a degree in one thing at one school, and majoring at something completely different at another school?

I really want to be a computer animator but can't exactly afford the money to pay for a prestigious art school. My second interest is psychology, and I was wondering if I got a degree in psychology, how easy it would be to get accepted and graduate with a computer animation degree from the art school, since I could then support myself with a job in psychology? #college-transfer #artscollege #psychology

Hi,
It should be fine! A lot of people actually do this because they want to go into another field. You then have two degrees in two different fields which is amazing! It opens up more opportunities to jobs.

It it not uncommon at all for people to do this. The great thing about this is that if you get the first degree, you will already have the basic courses under your belt for once you get to the second school provided the credits will transfer over. This is a great thing because it will not take you as long to complete the second degree as you will not have to go through all of the basics again. There may be a few other math classes that you would have to take in order to do the algorithms for the graphics part but other than that you should be all good to go. Make sure that if you go for the Psych degree first that when you get ready to go to your second school, you speak with the admissions and counselors to ensure that your credits are going to transfer.
