How to stay on task with ADHD?

Studying has never been my forte, but as a soon-to-be college student I think I need to get a method down. Any tips or tricks that work for you?

As someone with ADHD, I've learned to use tools that help me succeed in college and my career. I struggle to focus on long, dry texts, so I get digital copies and use tools like Otter or Mac's text-to-speech feature. Listening to the content helps me concentrate better. I recommend getting a good pair of over-ear noise-canceling headphones. They help you focus by blocking out distractions, whether you're listening to content or just need quiet while reading.

To remember things, I always write them down. The act of writing helps me retain information, even if I never look at the notes again.

For planning my day, I use tools like Todoist or Tiimio. Goblin.tools is also great; it uses AI to break big tasks into smaller steps. I choose the steps that make sense and add them to Todoist. I also take frequent short breaks for mindfulness, which helps me stay present and focused. Guided meditation or calming walks with apps like Calm are effective for me.
