It might be a bit late to start looking for a 2025 internship, and many US international programs aren't hiring right now. However, there are still options with multinational companies that focus on environmental and sustainability programs, as well as international organizations like the UN Environmental Programme and the World Bank.
CERES, located in San Francisco and Boston, works with companies to create programs. You can call them and talk to someone who works in an area you're interested in. Ask for help and guidance to find an internship where you can learn and contribute. They have good connections, so your goal is to get them interested in helping you.
For conservation internships in Africa, Intern Abroad HQ offers various Environmental Conservation Internships in South Africa. Check out their site for more information: https://www.internhq.com/blog/the-best-conservation-internships-in-africa/
The African Union also has internship programs: https://au.int/en/internships
The World Wildlife Fund usually hires graduates, but it's worth a try: https://www.worldwildlife.org/about/careers
The Stockholm Environmental Institute (SEI) has many international programs, especially in Africa. They often hire graduate students, but it's still worth a shot: https://www.sei.org/people/jobs/
All these opportunities are likely to be in English. If you speak other languages, there could be more options available to you.
