Did you know that soft skills are just as valuable as technical (or "hard") skills?
There are several key soft skills that play a big role in personal and professional success—like adaptability, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, presentation, problem-solving, teamwork, and overall "human" skills.

As a baseball player and teammate, you've already started building many of these skills without even realizing it. Qualities like teamwork, resilience, and strategic thinking on the field translate directly into the workplace.

Also, think about how you set goals in sports—whether it’s improving your batting average or working on a specific play. The same approach applies in a professional setting. Try setting SMART goals:

Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Relevant
Time-bound
It’s a simple but powerful way to stay focused and motivated.

Hope that gives you a solid starting point!

Stéphane.

Being part of a team is truly valuable! It shows you can work well with others and be a strong teammate or leader. Make the most of any leadership role you've had, as it can really set you apart. Jobs in business and marketing love having driven people on board. Plus, being on a sports team means you have excellent time management skills. Balancing sports with daily life is a skill not everyone has!

These roles also seek individuals who are motivated and love to win. Being competitive is key in business and marketing because it proves you have the drive to succeed and help the business succeed too!
