Hi MacKenzie:
Wow - great combination! Most lawyers I know are nuts! (kidding)
MacKenzie someone with your background will be a benefit to the profession. As I tell always students and young lawyers, people hire a lawyer for their heart as well as their brain. Ofter times lawyers fail to look at the big picture. They forget cases were not started in a vacuum. Facts and feelings start cases. A psychology degree will elp you have insight into peoples feelings and reasons. Plus they will help calm the waters.
Good luck in your senior year. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy law school - it's a great journey!

That is an excellent question. You have pointed out two of the primary benefits of a psychology background in the practice of law
The benefits would come from your insight into people's actions which is crucial to understand as an attorney, especially in the fields of criminal and divorce law. Additionally if you are a trial attorney it would help you connect with a jury.
As a retired attorney I think good trial attorneys learn psychology as they go if not studied.
You have made a very intelligent insight. I think you would make an excellent attorney with insights like that.
Best of luck
