Hello, Diego !

If you really want to pursue a professional baseball career, you will go through all the steps it takes to increase your chances. It is probably harder than pursuing an acting career like before I started, but not impossible and it's something that you can't predict how it will go. So you have to make a decision to do what you have to do to be in the right place with the skills and knowledge of the game. As you are about 13 years old right now, this will take a lot of patience and time.

For you right now, you can join San Luis Youth Baseball League if you are not in there already. They take players of all skill level for your age group up to age 15. Later on, the Yuma Union High School District does offer athletic programs you can join and the Yuma Prospects Baseball academy provides year round instruction for athletes of all levels. So be active in all of these.

After High School, you will increase your chances of being drafted by a Major League Baseball Team if you attend college. If you are above average in Baseball, it will attract scouts to come to your games and that could mean professional advancement. If you are not drafted after High School, doing the college route will help.

In college, you're going to need an elite athletic program that also provides great academic support. One of the best colleges for this is Vanderbilt University which is located in Nashville, Tennessee. You are going to have to decide in high school if you are willing to relocate for college. Look into some other colleges, locally and in other states to see their athletic offerings and Major Programs and make a decision when more informed. You can Major in anything in college while doing baseball, but there are majors for Physical Education, Exercise Science, or Exercise Physiology. You could also consider a major in Psychology, Nutrition, or Biomechanics.

Just like other careers, there's no guarantee, but the more you're around the sport, the more people you get to know in baseball, the better your chances might be. Take it one step at a time, don't over think it and live in the moment. No one can tell you how your career will be and the fun part is the journey there. The more involved you get with baseball, the more knowledge you will have to pursue it professionally. Give it time. And don't give up !

I hope this helps and I wish you the very best !
