Are there any jobs that are related to speech therapy, but don't require a degree?
I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree and want to go into clinical therapy after graduating. I would like a job that is related to what I want to do but doesn't require the degree or license.

While most direct clinical roles like Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) require a master's degree, there are related entry-level support jobs available. You can pursue work as an SLP Assistant (SLPA) or Aide , which typically requires an associate's degree, certification, or specialized training, but often not a full university degree. These roles primarily assist certified therapists by preparing materials and providing supervised direct therapy, offering excellent experience in the field.

Hello, Jordyn !
I'm sort of confused - you are currently in a Speech Therapy Program for a Bachelors Degree and you want to do something similar to Speech Therapy but is it that you don't want to go for your Masters ? I am not sure what you're asking.
Regardless, no, there really isn't anything "similar" to Speech Pathology. An undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology then a Masters only prepares one for a career as a Speech Pathologist. Other careers would require a different Bachelors Degree.
You also state that your career goal is to do clinical therapy but you didn't say exactly what kind. Any sort of clinical work would require a Masters Program and the term "clinical therapy" can mean any number of things.
Now would be the time for you to reassess the exact career you want, not a general term, but the actual career, and make a decision to change majors if need be. This is sort of what happens when one is not sure about a career but chooses a Major. Before choosing a Major, it helps to read about the Program to see if it is something you'd like, can do and can and want to stick with. You'll need a degree that qualifies you for some career.
It's fine to change your mind and switch career goals but it means also switching Majors, too. You need advice on what major actually lines up with the career you want. The General Education Requirement courses you've already taken will count towards the new Major you choose. How far into the speech pathology program are you ? It won't be so difficult if you're in your first or second semester, but it will be difficult if you've already completed most of your speech pathology program,
I recommend running this by your Academic Counselor so that you can obtain information about what switching to a new path would be like at the college you are attending. I also think it would be good to return here and ask more questions, mention what year or semester you are in and exactly what you mean by "clinical therapy" as a new career.
Best wishes in all you do !
