How can i make my resume more approachable to be considered to get a job as a forensic scientist?

Would it be a good idea to intern in a police station?

Thank you comment icon Hello Lillian, I am not the ideal mentor regarding your question because my experience is in Finance. From my experience it's usually helpful to be honest but strategic. Sharing a challenge, you faced and how you overcame it can show resilience. Employers often value problem-solving and adaptability more than a "perfect" record. Blessing, Isida Isida Mici

Hi Lillian. When reviewing your resume, focus on matching your experiences with what recruiters want. Highlight meaningful content over just the format. Include activities like volunteering or campus involvement to show leadership. Think about what makes you unique and stand out, even if it’s not related to forensics. Keep it to one page since companies quickly scan through resumes. Ask a friend to review it and give feedback. Good luck!
