What are the best-paying jobs you can get with a chemistry degree straight out of college?

My degree isn't specialized and I'm looking for something hopefully in a laboratory setting that I could do in Utah, but I'm open to anything.

Hi Erika. One possibility could be with pharmaceutical companies. I would do some research on lab or analysis positions with some of the major drug organizations like Pfizer or Fujisawa. Another possibility is working with IT/scientific firms and even defense contractors. Someone close to me graduated with a degree in chemistry and was offered a very good position with a company called SAIC. I highly recommend reaching out to places you might be interested in about shadowing opportunities.

Hi Erika,

That entirely depends on the jobs in your area. I recommend using job sites like LinkedIn or Indeed and searching for "Chemistry" or "Chemist" or the name of a specific skillset you have.
