How do I know I'm doing enough to get into grad school?
I'm graduating fairly early (I am 20 years old and graduate this spring) and I'm just worried that I don't have enough work/research experience to get into a program.

You’re doing enough academically if…
- Your GPA is at or close to the program’s average (usually 2.7–3.5 depending on the school).
- You’re taking or have taken courses related to the field you want to study.
- You have strong grades in your major classes, even if earlier grades weren’t perfect.
💡 Most grad programs care more about your recent academic performance than your past mistakes.
You’re doing enough professionally if…
You have at least one of these:
- Work experience related to your field
- Internships or volunteer work
- A project, portfolio, or writing sample
- Leadership roles at work, church, or in community service
💡 Grad schools value real-life experience — especially in fields like Criminal Justice, Social Work, Education, or Public Administration.
