How can I make money during college in order to be successful and financially stable after graduation? ?

I'm a current senior in high school, and college is very expensive. My family has a high enough income to where I do not qualify for very much need-based aid, yet financial aid is still a necessity as college is expensive. I'm planning on majoring in sports communication, which is not necessarily offered at colleges in-state near me. How can I make money to pay off debt in addition to a part-time job?

My family was unable to help with schooling. I ended up going to a community college for general Ed and spent a fraction of the price. I then transferred to a four year and finished up. The degree you get from the four year doesn’t have an asterisk or count any less than those who were there for all four years. Might be an option.

Look into scholarship programs that can help you graduate. You might find one that fits your needs and reduces your school expenses, so you won't have to work as much. Many groups and organizations offer scholarship funds. Working on campus is also a great idea. I was an RA starting my junior year, and the free room and board, plus a small stipend, really helped with costs. Campus jobs often have flexible schedules that fit around your classes. Be sure to create a budget and stick to it. Paying off any debt before college can reduce stress. Also, explore the resources at the college you're considering.

I would consider working for the college or university as most schools have student jobs. By working in a job at the school, it will help you understand the school better and meet other students. I would also suggest considering working in a position that is connected to your degree, so you are building experience for when you graduate. Plus make connections in your career.
