I've been a nurse for nearly 12 years, and becoming a nurse practitioner is a big step forward. The most challenging part is shifting your mindset from being a nurse to being a provider. Instead of just following orders, you now create them, and you're in charge of diagnosing patients. The responsibility for decision-making is yours, which is a big change from being a nurse. But remember, you’re ready for this. You have the skills and experience to succeed as a provider.
