How can biomedical engineering make a difference in the world with coding involved?
I am currently in high school and am in 12th grade. I'm applying to colleges currently and looking for different scholarships. I'm planning to pursue a field in something that involves computer programming with a combination of medical. So, I am interested in pursuing biomedical engineering because it involves everything that I love which is coding, biology, and math. I want to create something that can be accessible to patients in hospitals and make healthcare a wide scope.

In my biomedical career I’ve run into at least three rewarding specialty areas involving coding.
• Many medical equipment MANUFACTURERS use programming to operate their devices for monitoring, treating and imaging patients.
• There are EQUIPMENT-MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE COMPANIES that provide hospital biomed departments with systems that manage and track all the preventive maintenance and repairs for the entire hospital.
• Medical laboratories also utilize a vast array of LAB EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURES’ instrumentation for analyzing and diagnosing patient health.
You might also visit a local hospital's biomed department and chat with them. Check with their Human Resources department for the possibility of a visit.
Knowing you’re part of bringing technology to enhance people’s well being certainly makes a satisfying contribution to the world! I wish you all the best.
