How can I become a travel nurse??
I am currently in my first year of nursing school. I want to work in either pediatrics, labor and delivery, or in NICU/PICU. I will graduate fall of 2027. #fall25

Don't try to come right out of school and do travel nursing without experiencing 2-3 years of working in a stable structured environment. Get comfortable with your skill level and abilities before you jump from one environment to another. Once you have a strong base, you can take those skills anywhere.

Hi Makenzie,
I've been a Registered Nurse for 37 years, working in Labor and Delivery, NICU, and Community Health. Right now, I'm a Clinical Program Manager for a health plan, creating clinical programs. If you're aiming to become a travel nurse, you'll need 3-5 years of experience in your field. After that, you can join an agency, tell them your travel preferences, and they'll offer you a list of assignments to pick from. You've got this!
