How do you best prepare/utilize your time prior to joining graduate school in a professional degree when you are graduating early? What is the best way to transition into your field with this time?! ?

I am currently applying to Educational Counseling Masters Programs in California this cycle!

What would be best? Finding part-time/full-time positions, joining professional organizations, volunteering, etc?

Thank you comment icon Hey Alyna, can you share what you are going to graduate school for? Gurpreet Lally, Admin

Greetings Alyna:
Thank you for your question! I would definitely do volunteering. The benefit of volunteering is finding out what you enjoy doing. Volunteering, helped me to find my purpose, and I'm so glad I did!!
Thank you again for your question!!

Use this time to gain hands-on experience work or volunteer in schools, colleges, or youth programs related to counseling. At the same time, join professional organizations, attend workshops, and build relevant skills. This will help you transition smoothly into graduate school and the field.
