What are some scholarships that pertain to early high school graduates?

I am a high school senior who skipped my junior year. I took college classes at my community college during the school year and over the summer allowing me to advance my credits in both high school and towards my degree.

Hi Zaria:

Much of successful scholarship attainment, has to do with where you look for the scholarships. They can come from two primary sources, either private or public. One area people might not know about is the College Foundation option, at local colleges and universities.

College Foundations, manage the college endowment, but they also supervise private scholarship donations, and connect many of their scholarships to specific subjects, activities, majors, ethnicities and classifications. These are normally scholarships, that are supported by private individuals or businesses.

You might find scholarships for students who are first generation college students (neither parent has a college degree), students who are focusing their major on teaching, science subjects, engineering, social sciences, humanities, STEM subjects, or students who might be of a certain ethnicity.

Most of the time potential applicants can find nearly anything that fits into a classification or subject that defines them or their future goals.

All colleges and universities have foundations that offer scholarships. I would log into the website (of the college you are attending or wishing to attend), and research the ones which apply to you and your particular interests.

Hello, Zaria !

What you have described is not early graduation, rather that you did Dual Enrollment or Early College during your 11th grade year of high school. You state that you are currently in 12th grade in high school. There are no scholarships for Early College or Dual Enrollment as those courses are free from tuition costs. As a High School Senior currently, you are free to apply for any scholarships for college that you qualify for, but there are no categories for early graduation or early college or dual enrollment.

There are many scholarships that you can choose from, however, and you should be looking into colleges this year. Once you obtain your High School Diploma, thereafter, you will have to pay tuition at college. That is what the scholarships help out for. You need to discuss your situation with your guidance counselor so you can understand the program you may have been in during 11th grade and how to apply to college and transfer your already completed college courses to that particular college. Information for monies for college cannot be generalized and must be focused on your specific circumstances with the financial aid office at your future college.

You didn't provide enough information about the categories you may qualify for, but if you plan to attend college in Fort Worth, TX where you live, look into the The Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program to see if you qualify for it. Other than that, make sure to apply for Federal Student Financial Aid. Students who submit the Federal Student Financial Aid, also known as the FAFSA application, are considered for federal, state, and institutional financial aid, including scholarships administered by universities in Texas.

So your first step in obtaining accurate and detailed information about your own personal circumstances would be to select a college and visit the financial aid office so that you can have a discussion and obtain written information to take home.

I hope this helps and I wish you all the best !
