How will AI effect the role of a Chief financial officer. Is this still a good field to go into with the advancement of AI ?

AI will change the CFO role, but it won’t replace it. In fact, finance becomes more important because AI often hallucinates, especially with numbers, and cannot guarantee 100% accuracy.
AI will automate repetitive tasks and provide better forecasting tools, but humans still need to verify calculations, ensure compliance, make strategic decisions, and take responsibility. Leadership, judgment, ethics, and financial oversight cannot be automated.
So yes, business management/finance is still an excellent field to go into.
If anything, people who understand numbers, think critically, and can use AI tools safely will be even more valuable in the future.
