How much does a new grad nurse make?
Hello, I am a Senior in high school. I am heading to college. I am interested in becoming a nurse, so I can help individuals even when it's not acknowledged. I like to play badminton, hangout with friends, and eat good food.

Hi Alyssa! I’m so proud of you that you are completing your final year of high school! That’s awesome! I think the salary of a nurse all depends upon the type of nurse as well as credentials. Also, location also plays a part in how much a nurse is paid. I would suggest considering where you would like to practice, then research salaries within that geographical location. Hope this helps. Congratulations and much success to you!

Hi Alyssa,
I was just doing some research and I also have family relatives in the medical field - With my research, a new grad nurse's salary varies by location, with the national average around $61,807 annually or $29.71 per hour, but it can be significantly higher or lower depending on the state and facility. For example, in New Jersey, the average salary is higher, with rates ranging from approximately $38 to over $50 per hour depending on the region and facility, due to a higher cost of living in some areas.
