What are steps to help me pass the police academy and become an officer?

Hello reader, My name is David. I attend Crane Middle School in Yuma, Arizona. All my life I wanted to become a police officer but as I have gotten older I have been wondering what’s the steps to that. Me wanting to be a police officer has influenced the way I help people and what decisions I make on a daily basis. I want to know what things I can do now that will look good in the academy and on my resume. Are there things like programs or going on the job with them. I want to know this to give me the best chance to become an officer. What skills did you find most difficult to learn when you first started, and how can I start practicing them now? Hi David! That's awesome you've known what you want to do for so long. Start by staying in great shape since the academy is physically demanding, keep your grades up, and stay out of trouble because background checks are thorough. Look into Police Explorers or ride-alongs with your local department for real hands-on experience.
