Katlynne’s Answer

Hi David,

Your goal is fantastic! The Marines are always on the lookout for motivated and confident young people like you to join their team. You're on the right track! As someone with military experience, I can say that staying fit and curious is crucial. Keep exercising to build your strength for future challenges, and push yourself in school to prepare for leadership roles.

When you reach your junior year in high school, you'll take the ASVAB test. This will help identify your strengths on a military scale, and you'll use your score to pick a military job that suits you, like being a tanker, a medic, or even a Blackhawk helicopter mechanic! It's your choice, and remember, you can always change jobs later if needed, so there are no wrong decisions.

You're doing great right now. Stay motivated, and you'll achieve all your goals!

Katlynne recommends the following next steps:

Keep working out
Keep doing awesome in school
Take your ASVAB when you become a Junior

Alexander’s Answer

If you want to join the military, focus on two main things: passing the ASVAB written test and the Fitness exam. As you enter high school, your interests and priorities might shift. Identify how you want to contribute and consider your strengths. Visit a local recruiter in high school for guidance on reaching your goal. By graduation, you'll be ready to serve your country. You have the drive to succeed, so keep going!

Brock’s Answer

Hi David, first off, it’s awesome that you’re already thinking about your future. You’re still in 7th grade, so you do not need to do anything crazy right now to make becoming a Marine easier. You already have a good start because gaming, working out, and fixing things can actually build useful skills.

Right now, focus on a few things:

• Stay out of trouble and make good choices.
• Keep your grades up and continue trying hard in all your classes.
• Keep exercising and build healthy habits — running, push-ups, pull-ups, sports, and staying active help.
• Keep learning how things work since you enjoy fixing and taking things apart. Marines use problem-solving skills every day.
• Practice discipline — showing up on time, finishing work, and doing what you say you'll do matters a lot.

Also, remember: Marines are not just strong people. They need people who are smart, responsible, and can work with others.

You have several years before you can join, so enjoy being a kid too. Keep learning, keep working hard, and keep asking questions. You're already ahead by thinking about your goals this early.

Semper Fi, Mr. David.

A. Lynnia’s Answer

Hello young man, Mr. David. I am here to tell you that you are going to succeed and do great things. You know how I know, because you are asking questions like this. Firstly, let me tell you that the second you turn 17 you can go join the Marines with your parents consent. How you can start preparing right now is studying for the ASVAB. You are going to want to do well on that test and it will open you up to every job that you could ever want. It sounds like you already workout so work on your running and your pullups. If you have access to the internet, or an app store, download chat GPT and type in “get me ready for the Marine fitness test” and follow that. If you want to become an officer, join ROTC.
I would like to close with this, you are a special soul, and no matter what happens in this life you will get whatever you put your mind to. There may be bumps along the way, but pay them no mind and keep going. You are going to do great young David. I am praying for you.
