Hey Owen! That's a great question and I can totally relate because I actually did my grad school abroad here in the US, coming from my home country, so I went through the exact same challenge of not being able to just show up and walk around campus before making a decision. What worked for me was a combination of things that I'd definitely recommend to you. First, I spent a lot of time navigating school websites and really digging into the program pages, course offerings, faculty profiles, and student life sections because you can learn a ton just from how a school presents itself online. Second, I watched as many promotional videos and virtual tours as I could find because most schools put out solid content that gives you a real feel for the campus, the culture, and the overall vibe. Third, and this was probably the most helpful thing I did, I connected with alumni and current students through LinkedIn or school networks and set up virtual meetings to ask them real questions about their experience, things like how supportive the professors are, what the community feels like, what surprised them, and whether they'd choose the same school again. People are usually super willing to share their honest thoughts and that firsthand perspective is something no website or brochure can give you. I also looked into things like scholarships for international students, support services, and career placement rates because those things really matter when you're investing in a school far from home. So even though you can't physically visit, there are plenty of ways to get a solid picture of what a school is really like, you just have to be proactive and reach out!

Exploring colleges in other countries can be exciting, and you can still learn a lot about them without visiting in person. Here are some helpful tips: Take virtual campus tours and watch videos on YouTube to get a sense of the school. Check out the program's reputation and curriculum to see if it matches your interests. Consider the cost of tuition and living expenses. Look into language requirements and the support available for international students. Read student reviews and find out about the safety and location of the school. These steps will help you make a well-informed decision!
