What specific specializations are offered for going into the major Criminal Justice (Forensic science, homeland security, law enforcement, forensics, juvenile justice, crime scene investigation, etc.)?
I took criminal justice as a class this sophomore year of high school and it was very interesting. I want to continue my adventure in criminal justice as a career in the future.

Wow that's a mouth full but there's more. :-) When you are ready for college it will depend on the school. Larger universities tend to offer more tracks while smaller schools off a general CJ degree. I would suggest if you can take a few courses now in Cybersecurity and continue Forensics. Also have an understanding in Public Administration. In today's AI driven world make sure to include a Generative AI class.

That's so exciting that your curiosity is being peaked by Criminal Justice! Definitely something worth exploring some more.
Generally some different areas of focus or specialization include: Law Enforcement Administration, Corrections and Rehabilitation, Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Forensic Science and Investigation, & Juvenile Justice. Areas of specialization/focus can vary depending on the university or post-secondary program you decide to attend.
I think I'd check out programs/concentrations at different universities and also start to think about how you might get some experience in or exposure to the field of criminal justice now during high school! Maybe consider job shadowing, research, volunteering, or part-time jobs in the field.
