Is being a Graphic Designer a good job for me?

I asked what some good colleges are earlier, but I just thought, is being a graphic designer a good fit for me? I have ADHD and atisum, and I love art I've always hated math, and I'm a good problem solver but I have a hard time doing somthing I say I'm ging to do not like I lie but like "I'm going to get this done before the end of this period!" 2 days later "I'm half way there!" I just can't stay focused! And I do know what college I'd go to if I were to become a graphic designer, but I also want to be a teacher!

Thank you comment icon Graphic design is a field that rewards visual problem-solving and creative hyperfocus, making it a compelling match for your neurodivergent strengths. Because the work is project-based and highly visual, it allows you to bypass the math you dislike while leaning into your artistic passion. However, the "time blindness" and executive dysfunction you described—challenges with deadlines and focus—are significant hurdles in a client-driven industry. To succeed, you would need a structured environment or project management tools to stay on track. If you also feel a calling to teach, consider Art Education. This path allows you to share your love for art while working within the predictable structure of a school day, which can often help manage ADHD symptoms. Clarence

Without knowing more about you but from the way you asked, I think graphic designer is a great choice for someone on the spectrum with ADHD! You will find your people, you will grow with them, you will design and create amazing things. This is the field for you definitely! Figure out how to be organized so school and portfolio work does not become too much to handle. Do not give up! You may hit a blocker on your path but it will be temporary, make your path something permanent!
One last piece I recommend. Later on in life, try math again. Do it on your own terms and learn it the way you want to. I find that often schools try to take math as a subject and teach it in a way to appease the school district or state and appease students. This will not work for you. Take a moment, on your time, at your pace, when you feel like it (because you already have a portfolio bursting at the seams!) and slowly try to start to learn math again. This is just my recommendation, you don't have to, I found I liked it better later in life when I could control how I did it, not basing it on inflated test scores!
Aside from that you have my vote! Evaline for graphic design!
