It's great that you already know your core values in 10th grade. Many people take years to figure this out, so you're ahead of the game. With your interest in teamwork, connections, and love for the outdoors and travel, you're set for exciting careers away from typical office settings.
If you love teamwork and nature, consider Environmental Science or Conservation, where you can work with others to protect ecosystems or monitor wildlife. If travel and friendship are your focus, Outdoor Education or Adventure Guiding could be perfect. You'd lead groups on trips, forming strong bonds while exploring beautiful places. For a career with a "family" feel and teamwork, think about Wildland Firefighting or Search and Rescue, where you'll rely on a close-knit group in the great outdoors.
If you want to stay active and see the world, Geology or Marine Biology might be for you, involving travel for research with a team. Or, if hands-on work interests you, International Project Management for Non-Profits could take you to different countries, helping communities and working with a dedicated team. Look for "field-based" roles rather than "desk-based" ones to enjoy the movement and collaboration you love.
Since you have some high school years left, try summer volunteer programs with your local Parks Department or a youth conservation corps. These will give you a taste of working as a team outdoors. Does protecting the environment or leading adventures sound more exciting to you?

Hi Jaxxon,
It's awesome that you know your core values—teamwork, family and friends, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. This is a great foundation for choosing a career.
There are many careers that fit well with these values, especially if you enjoy working with people and being in different places.
Here are some ideas:
- Tourism and travel (tour guide, travel coordinator, cruise staff)
- Event and logistics coordination (working with international teams)
- Hospitality (hotels, resorts, or cruise ships in various countries)
- Outdoor careers (park ranger, environmental programs, adventure tourism)
- International programs and cultural exchanges (such as CISV and similar organizations)
In these fields, you often work in teams, travel, meet people from different cultures, and build strong relationships. For instance, working with international events, tourism, or cruise companies lets you travel, collaborate with others, and create memorable experiences.
Since you're in 10th grade, consider exploring volunteer work, summer programs, travel camps, or part-time jobs in tourism, outdoor activities, or community projects. This will help you find what you love most.
You can also check out summer camps and volunteer opportunities near Dalton, Massachusetts. Look for local community camps, youth outdoor programs, or organizations like Cambridge Camping (15+) or Camp Dalton Dreams (18+). These programs let high school students work in teams, help younger campers, enjoy outdoor activities, and gain real-world experience while exploring career interests.
Don't hesitate to try different paths—your values are already guiding you in the right direction.
Warm greetings from Brazil!
