How can I best relate to younger students, especially when working on group projects, when I am returning to school later in life?
I am changing careers later i life and am going back to get an AA, even though I have my BA.
I am not sure the best way to present my ideas without seeming like a "know-it-all" or an "I-know-best" perspective.

Hi Jennifer,
I received your message, and I want to reassure you that rejections, mistakes, and changes are not failures—they're opportunities to learn. Every challenge gives you a chance to grow and understand more about yourself and your career. Remember, even the most successful people have faced setbacks. What sets them apart is their persistence and willingness to learn from each experience.
We're all on a journey, and it's never too late to learn something new. I'm even thinking of pursuing a master's in law to add more value to my career in economics. Building connections is just as important as developing skills. Reach out to teachers, alumni, or professionals in fields that interest you. Celebrate your small achievements, like completing a project or speaking up in class, because these add up to significant growth.
I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck as you return to school.
