How is the best way to study for nursing school?

I am a second semester nursing student who typically studies by writing notes during lecture and reviewing the PowerPoints before exams. But I am wanting to try new ways to study that can even make it fun.

The best way for me to study was to join a study group with up to three other students. We would ask each other questions about the material, which helped us remember it better.
