Hi Julia! I was someone in school with multiple interest in undergrad and grad school. Since grad school programs have strict, pretty pre-set course set ups, it might be worth it see if you can explore your interest via clubs or recreational activities and then have one selected focus area. You want to be sure you can give your all to the path you want to have a career around and what you see yourself doing longterm! Follow your heart, mind, and 'gut' - no wrong decisions as long as you feel aligned with your decision.

As a music major, you will have applied music courses that will require a lot of your time, but won't give you a lot of credit towards your degree. You will have to take a course in your main instrument and if that instrument isn't piano, you will also need to take a piano course plus a performance course. You will need to practice endlessly. I don't believe it would be a good idea to pursue a double major if one of those majors is music.

Hi! For graduate school, programs are usually super specific and structured. Most schools have a pretty set curriculum and will have required and also elective classes. You have great interests, but they will likely be in different schools within the university, so it may be hard to take classes in both. I would recommend setting up meetings/interviews with both biology and music departments at the universities you're interested in and learn more about the programs and see if that helps you decide between the two. In the end, I would go to grad school for the one you're more interested in now and you can always go back to school for a second degree too after finishing one!
