When I go to College, should I go for a full-time or a part-time job to help save money for the future? Or is there a better option to save up money?

When I get to college, I already plan to get a job, but I don't know what to look out for to have a stress free college life. I'm willing to work any condition but I cannot handle working in a fast food place or a restaurant.

Hi Tanner!

I suggest getting a part-time job to keep your focus on college while still earning some money. Balancing work and studies is important to enjoy both. You might also consider paid internships, which can help you learn and gain experience while saving money.

Try talking to your teachers; one of mine helped me find my first part-time job when I was in college.

Hope this helps!

Talk to your department to see if there are any paid opportunities where you can work and still focus on your studies. When I studied accounting, I worked part-time at the University Bursar's office, helping people learn about money.

Hi Tanner,

I think a part-time job is the best option during college because it gives you time to focus on your classes and mental health. A low-stress job like working in a library, office, or campus store can help you save money without feeling overwhelmed. Working full-time while studying can become very exhausting and affect your grades. You can also work more hours during vacations or summer breaks to save extra money. The most important thing is finding a balance between school, work, and personal life.

Hi, Tanner I'm sorry for the late reply.
It’s smart that you’re thinking ahead about college and work! Balancing saving money with a stress-free college life is important, and avoiding fast-paced jobs like restaurants makes sense. Many students choose part-time positions on campus, tutoring, library work, or online freelance jobs — these options often give more flexibility and less stress. Sometimes combining a smaller part-time job with scholarships or grants can help you save while keeping your schedule manageable. If you want, I can help you find opportunities that suit your preferences.
