Adriana’s Answer

To become an NBA player, focus on doing the little things well every day. Work on improving your skills, getting stronger, staying disciplined, and learning the game. Seek out good coaches and mentors who can guide and support you. Always show effort, have a positive attitude, work well with others, and be consistent to stand out.

Remember to take school seriously. Basketball can create opportunities, but your character, grades, and work ethic will determine how many opportunities you have. Keep pursuing your dream with confidence, but also grow as a person off the court. This way, whether or not you make it to the NBA, you'll still succeed in life.

Larry’s Answer

Emmanuel, the road to the NBA is long and hard. You have set a high bar for yourself, and that is a good thing. Whether you reach the NBA or not, the struggle to get there will help you in life.

There are 450 players in the NBA. 28 million people age six and older play basketball. That means that millions of young people dream of playing in the NBA. These facts say is that in addition to your goal of reaching the NBA, you need other goals in your life. You must prepare for those other goals as hard as your prepare for the NBA.

Some of the best NBA players were given rewards as student athletes. In other words, they put as much effort into their studies as they did preparing for the NBA.

If you are successful in reaching the NBA, your professional career may be short. The average player in the NBA spends 5 years in the league. So, the very best basketball players in the world usually play for only 5 years. The big question then is: What do I do with the rest of my life?

I think you see my point. Pursue your NBA dreams, but also create other dreams to achieve. Play hard and study hard.
