Is being an AFJROTC worth it?

I'm currently a first-year sophomore cadet. What benefits do I get for staying in this program till I graduate? Do admission officers actually think highly of AFJROTC?

YES! Any community or extracurricular involvement will help not only your chances of getting into college but will also give you a leg up after college. By Staying in any JROTC Program you will be given many learning opportunities that you would not have otherwise. I was a Navy Sea Cadet and a Junior Firefighter and I believe I learned just as much outside of school.

Just think about it... If you apply for the same college as someone who has the same grades as you, who do you think will get into that school if the other person has no extracurricular experience? YOU Would!

Also, since you are in JROTC it will help you if you ever decide to join the military. Those who enlist usually get higher rank and more pay than those who did not do JROTC.

Your time is being well spent. Keep your grades high and stay motivated!!!

Best of luck to you!
