What is the best path to take for a student interested in genetics and becoming a medical geneticist?

10th grade student athlete who has been interested in genetics since 7th grade. I want to go to college and med school to become a medical geneticist and also find the right path for me that will allow me to express all my hobbies and interests while also being able to pursue a family in the future.
