Thank you for your question.
Below are my suggestions :
1. There are plenty of careers you can consider, e.g. Technical Writer, Web Content Creator, Editor, Author, Public Relations, Translator, English Teacher, etc. You can find out more relevant careers online.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Seek guidance from the professors and alumni
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Select subjects relevant to the selected careers
6. Explore any intern opportunities
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Wong’s Answer

An English major can lead to many careers beyond teaching. The skills you develop in writing, communication, research, and critical thinking are valuable in many industries.

Some career paths you can consider include content writing, copywriting, editing, publishing, digital marketing, public relations, corporate communications, human resources, customer success, journalism, translation, technical writing, social media management, and administrative or business support roles. If you are interested in education, you can also pursue teaching or academic research.

Before you graduate, you should focus on building practical skills that employers look for. Improve your writing and editing, public speaking, presentation, and communication skills. Also, try to gain real-world experience through internships, volunteering, freelance work, or personal projects. For example, you could write articles, manage a social media page, start a blog, or help a nonprofit with communications. These experiences will strengthen your resume and help you stand out to employers.
