What schooling do I have to complete?

What schooling do I have to do to become a CSI? Do I have to go to college and if so how many years? Or can I go to trade school, tctc, high school diploma, or something else? I am planning on going to college and would like to know how long I have to go for.

Hi Kinsley,

I believe I may have addressed this in your previous question. Some college coursework I'd recommend is criminal justice, police studies, forensic science, biology, and criminology. These courses and programs are available at many 2-year and 4-year schools. There are certificate programs but they are usually available to persons with CSI experience, and who have received their master's degree or are currently in a master's program. The next steps I previously recommended are links to resources which should provide a good starting point in deciding what college programs and/or courses to pursue. Good luck!
