Pro’s Answer

Try looking at an Interdisciplinary, Liberal Studies, or General Studies major, that will let you combine multiple interests. Or an Individually Designed major that you can even name yourself.

Angela’s Answer

Hi Jazmin,

Adding a minor is a great way to get familiar with another subject manner. To complete a minor you typically only need to take a few classes. A major has more requirements - including core classes, specialization tracks and related electives. A minor is not as beneficial as a major, because you will only complete a handful of classes on the topic. I do believe that minors are beneficial as whole. They allow you to explore another subject manner and can open the door to more opportunities. If there is a subject manner you are interested in I would definitely recommend adding it as a minor.

Best of Luck!

Maryana’s Answer

Minors are beneficial as they can help expand your knowledge in another field. However, you will be required to take less classes and will not cover everything as a major would. For example having a finance major with economics can be a great benefit as they correlate to each other.
