PRO’S
Working as an underwater welder involves a good paying salary. It’s because this type of job keeps our economy running. Keep in mind that they are the ones who build and fix ships for corporations and government. Underwater welders are also the ones who help construct and maintain the pipelines and oil platforms that provide fuel for the world’s population. Without them, a large part of our economy might put to a stop.Another reason why these welders are paid very well is because of the skills that they have. In this job, you must have two skills that are very important to an underwater welder. These skills are welding and commercial diving and these can be learned from any underwater welding schools. Though these skills can pay off well, having both as an underwater welder can open doors to higher salary.

CON’S
The risks involved in this job is the main reason why not everyone is willing to work in this area. Keep in mind that you will be working underwater with the use of electricity. One wrong move and you will end up electrocuted. Not to mention that you will be underwater most of the time. If you work at sea then know that open waters have their own predators too so it might not be the best job to many people.
